One By One was founded in 2005 to tackle the problem of obstetric fistula with the conviction that each of us has something to give, and that small is not insignificant. Giving Circles have always been the heart and soul of One By One's work to educate and engage our community. Hosting a Giving Circle is an opportunity to educate your family, friends and co-workers about obstetric fistula, and invite them to join you in supporting One By One's work to treat and prevent this horrific condition. We have seen time and time again that, once people know about fistula, they want to do what they can to help eradicate it. Giving Circles are a powerful vehicle for spreading the word. Your guests will come away with an awareness of this incredibly important problem, and you will have given them an opportunity to be part of the solution. When even one guest turns around and hosts another Giving Circle, knowledge of this problem spreads exponentially. This is how a movement grows.
