PROGRAMMATIC PARTNERS
One By One is proud to work in
partnership with several extraordinary organizations.
Please take a moment to learn more about
the work of our partners below.
The Campaign to End
Fistula
In 2003, the United Nations Population
Fund (UNFPA) and its partners launched
the first-ever global Campaign to End Fistula.
The Campaign works to prevent fistula from occurring, treat women who are affected, and renew the hopes and dreams of those who suffer from the condition. This includes bringing obstetric fistula to the attention
of policy-makers and communities around the world, thereby
reducing the stigma associated with fistula,
and helping women who have undergone treatment
return to full and productive lives. The Campaign currently covers more than
30 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, South
Asia and some Arab States.
One By One believes in
the long-term sustainable approach of the
Campaign to end fistula and in their broad
distribution of funds and technical assistance.
For this reason, One By One selected the
Campaign to End Fistula as its initial grantee in 2005 and 2006. The Campaign provides One By One with technical assistance and information about fistula treatment and prevention programs around the world.

The United Nations
Foundation
The United Nations Foundation was created in 1998 with
entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner’s
historic $1 billion gift to support UN causes
and activities.
The UN Foundation builds and implements
public-private partnerships to address the
world’s most pressing problems, and
also works to broaden support for the UN
through advocacy and public outreach. The
UN Foundation is a public charity that supports the UN and its causes through
a blend of advocacy, grantmaking, and partnerships.

Sierra Club, Global
Population & the Environment Program
The Sierra Club, known for its
work on environmental issues, understands
that population growth affects the environment.
The Global Population & the Environment
Program works to slow population growth
and its impacts by promoting voluntary family
planning and by encouraging the public to
advocate for women and girls' access to
basic rights, including health care and
education.
One By One and the Sierra Club have joined together to educate college students and adults about the intersection between women's health and the Environment.
